Bankruptcy Proceedings & Litigation
- Represent various secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including preparing proofs of claim, objecting to cash collateral or debtor in possession financing motions, objecting to disclosure statements and plans, defending claim objections, defending preference actions, and participating in bankruptcy sale and auction processes
- Represent clients in bankruptcy appeals both to the district courts and various courts of appeal
- Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case of Seadrill Partners LLC
- Served as local counsel to the first lien lenders in the prepackaged bankruptcy case of Mood Media Corporation and its affiliates, one of the fastest Chapter 11 cases in history
- Represented the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 1245 as its bankruptcy counsel in the Pacific Gas & Electric bankruptcy in the Northern District of California. The IBEW represents thousands of PG&E employees and contractors and served as a member of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of PG&E
- Represented debtor clients in Chapter 11 cases involving wood pellet manufacturing facilities
- Represented energy industry client creditor group in Chapter 11 proceeding of offshore oil and gas operator with particular focus on decommissioning liabilities
