April 16, 2019

(DALLAS) April 16, 2019Elizabeth Lang Miers, a Justice on the Court of Appeals for the 5th District of Texas at Dallas until December 2018, has rejoined Locke Lord as a Partner in the Firm’s Appellate Practice Group and Director of Attorney Development based in the Dallas office. Prior to being appointed Justice in 2003, she spent 27 years with Locke Lord predecessor firms Locke Liddell & Sapp, Locke Purnell Rain Harrell and Locke Purnell Boren Laney & Neely.

“At Locke Lord, we’re committed to developing our Associates and Senior Counsels and mentoring them to Partnership and otherwise successful legal careers. Liz’s strong background and distinct perspective surrounding attorney development will be integral to our continued success in this area,” said Locke Lord Chair David Taylor. “Liz is also a highly experienced trial lawyer and appellate Justice whose prominent profile in the national appellate community will help strengthen our Appellate Practice Group in Dallas and across the Firm.”
