Richard Reibstein Quoted on Legality of Companies Mandating Vaccines for Independent Contractors

Richard Reibstein, a New York Partner and Co-Head of Locke Lord’s Independent Contractor Misclassification and Compliance Practice, was quoted by AllWork on the recent implementation of vaccination mandates in New York for private-sector workers, including the legality of companies mandating vaccines for independent contractors.

“Even where the underlying independent contractor agreement is silent on matters of health and safety or where there is no agreement in place, companies should be legally able to impose a vaccination mandate as a health and safety policy for its worksites,” Reibstein said.
