Chicago Partner Andrea Kerstein Profiled in Law.com's How I Made Partner Feature

Andrea Kerstein, a litigation Partner in Locke Lord’s Chicago office, was profiled by Law.com in the ‘How I Made Partner’ series. In the Q&A, Kerstein discusses her time at the Firm, successful business development strategies and the key to her rise to Partnership level, which she believes was taking on true ownership in any case or matter.

Kerstein also gave advice to an associate who wants to make partner: “Try to put yourself in the partner’s shoes now. If you were the one who had to personally maintain a client relationship, how would you act? If you were leading the case strategy, what would you do next? Taking on that level of ownership now will naturally lead to opportunities that will give you the experience needed to do partner-level legal work and sell yourself to potential clients. It will also give others confidence in your ability to take the “next step.”
