Andrea Martin has been an advocate for individuals and corporations for nearly two decades, handling disputes in various litigation venues, including government agencies, state and federal courts and appeals courts.

In civil litigation, Andrea represents clients in dispute resolution from initial consultation, administrative investigations, negotiation and mediation and court proceedings from complaint to appeal. Her practice covers business torts, including misrepresentation and fraud as well as contractual disputes involving issues in contract formation, interpretation, performance and payment.

Her practice also includes labor and employment disputes, severance, intra-business disputes, independent contractor status disputes, enforcement and interpretation of non-compete agreements and wage and commission disputes. She also provides counsel on real estate disputes, eviction proceedings, intellectual property, confidential information, trade secret disputes and white collar criminal defense investigations.

Prior to joining the Firm, she was co-chair of the business litigation and dispute litigation group and general counsel for Burns & Levinson LLP where she managed claims against the firm and counseled attorneys on various ethical and other issues pertaining to client engagements.

Andrea’s experience includes:

  • Overturned $6M judgment wrongfully entered against ex-husband in federal court
  • Secured $1M pre-judgment security in breach of contract matter involving luxury hotel and condominium development project
  • Defended and negotiated resolution for family-owned business in simultaneous wage and hour, union and wrongful termination government investigations
  • Second-chaired trial with full vindication of executive accused of overpaying himself in breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty
  • Evicted former boyfriend of elderly woman who had lost her capacity to take care of herself and moved into assisted living facility to enable her children to sell the $1M family home
  • Obtained judgment for corporation against former employee’s six-figure wage and hour claim
