New Jersey Law Journal Features Locke Lord as 'Products Liability Litigation Department of the Year'

Locke Lord’s Products Liability Practice has been named as the ‎exclusive winner of the “2015 Products Liability Litigation Department of the Year” ‎competition by the New Jersey Law Journal (NJLJ).

On May 25, 2015, Locke Lord was profiled in a special supplement featuring the winners. The article, “Locke Lord's Products Liability and Toxic Tort Team Helps Guide Clients Through High-Profile, High-Stakes Litigation," discusses how the group have been handling some of the biggest products liability, toxic tort and mass tort cases in the country.

The products liability lawyers at Locke Lord have established an extensive network of contacts with sophisticated experts in a broad range of disciplines. 

The New Jersey-based Partners in Locke Lord’s Products Liability and Toxic Tort Practice ‎Group include Lisa Ann T. Ruggiero.

The group has served as national counsel for the Monsanto ‎Company in the Agent Orange Litigation, the largest toxic tort class action case in American ‎history, as well as the national counsel for a chemical and construction products company ‎and a telecommunications company. They serve as counsel for another ‎telecommunications company in products liability litigation and also represent companies in ‎pelvic mesh litigation. They have defended the City of New York and 150 contractors ‎‎(including the four construction manager contractors) against claims of approximately ‎‎11,000 plaintiffs for personal injuries incurred during the rescue, recovery and debris ‎removal operation at the World Trade Center site and related locations following the ‎September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.‎

The team has also handled historic litigation involved with the following: Deepwater Horizon, ‎Y2K, diethylstilbestrol (“DES”), benzene, breast implants, alcohol, food and beverage, ‎PCBs, dioxin, dialysis, toys and asbestos.‎
