Boston Partner Allison O’Neil was named a 2017 Top Women of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. O’Neil’s career, civic and Firm involvement were spotlighted in a special edition of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. O’Neil is very active in the arts and green space communities in Boston and is a longtime supporter of the Museum of Fine Arts. She co-chairs the Medici Group, a fundraising board for the Museum School at Tufts, and serves on the board of directors for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy after many years as a board member for the Friends of the Boston Public Garden. At Locke Lord, O’Neil serves on the Firm’s Board of Directors and Co-Chairs its Women’s Initiative.
When discussing her prior experience as a prosecutor that she said has proved invaluable, O’Neil noted: “I’m so glad I’ve had the opportunity not only to be a prosecutor but a defense attorney as well, because it gives me a different perspective.”
