Locke Lord International Partner Ann Ryan Robertson, C.Arb FCIArb, Receives Sarah T. Hughes Women Lawyers of Achievement Award

Ann Ryan Robertson, C.Arb FCIArb, International Partner in Locke Lord’s Houston office, was awarded the 2022 Sarah T. Hughes Women Lawyers of Achievement Award by the Women and the Law Section of the State Bar of Texas at its Annual Meeting on June 9. The award honors the accomplishments of women attorneys who have achieved outstanding recognition in the profession and created a path for other women attorneys to succeed.

Robertson acts as both arbitrator and advocate in international and domestic arbitrations in a wide variety of complex business disputes and has been named to Global Arbitration Review’s Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration since 2015 and to The Best Lawyers in America® for International Arbitration/Governmental since 2014.

Robertson is the immediate past global President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the world’s leading qualifications and professional body for dispute avoidance and dispute management, a member of the Council of the American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution, a member of the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, a member of the London Court of International Arbitration and a past member of the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration. In addition, she is listed on the arbitrator rosters of a number of leading arbitral institutions. Most recently, the U.S. Department of Trade selected Robertson as one of 10 arbitrators appointed by the United States to serve as a dispute resolution panelist pursuant to Chapter 31 of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
