Providence Business News Features Locke Lord Partner Chris Graham as 2023 Leaders and Achievers Honoree

Chris Graham, Co-Office Managing Partner of Locke Lord’s Providence office and Co-Chair of the Firm's Corporate and Transactional Department, was pictured and featured by the Providence Business News as a 2023 Leaders and Achievers ‎honoree. He was recognized for his long-standing commitment to the business community, as well as a ‎sustained demonstration of leading others, community service and mentoring. ‎Honorees were recognized at an annual awards program on August 23.

Graham, who in recent years has spent considerable time counseling startup businesses, notes that he enjoys working with startups because it is equally challenging and rewarding. “I can draw on a lot of experience based on what I have seen historically happen to similar entities … and I think I can really help clients figure out how to get from here to there,” he said. “It makes me feel that I’m helping in a meaningful way.”

Graham advises business clients of all types, although he invests much of his time in matters involving private equity. He has led teams of lawyers in many different types of corporate transactions, both domestic and cross-border. Graham counsels startup enterprises and assists in their capital formation, represents emerging companies and private equity investors in different rounds of equity financing, and negotiates acquisitions, dispositions and management buyouts for corporate buyers and sellers, private equity funds and management teams. He frequently represents borrowers in financing transactions, including highly leveraged financings that are integral parts of private equity buyouts. His clients include private equity funds, Fortune 500 companies, international conglomerates, privately held manufacturing companies and numerous technology and life science startups.
