“There are so many things that can be done to protect companies from data breaches,” Ferguson said. “Some of the main things that come up in my breach response work is the need for implementation of endpoint monitoring, multifactor authentication, employee education and training, installing security patches and ensuring admin accounts avoid simple passwords.”
