The Lawyer’s Edge Podcast Interviews Locke Lord’s Carolyn Blessing on How Women’s Initiatives Can Create Maximum Impact

Carolyn Blessing, a Partner in Locke Lord’s Chicago office, was featured on The Lawyer’s Edge podcast discussing how to enhance value and drive change through women’s initiatives. As Co-Chair of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, Blessing noted the significance of internal and external women’s initiatives and cited the three core pillars of effective women’s initiatives: programming, networking and credentialing.

“Starting a women’s initiative — either internally or externally — can be overwhelming, but at the end of the day it’s about the community you are forming,” Blessing said. “Programming doesn’t always need to be a formal presentation from someone. The most valuable takeaways from the initiatives at both Locke Lord and at the Coalition have been the authentic relationships I’ve gained. Community is at the core.”
