Shumaila has been involved in the following transactions:

  • Led the representation of Excel Services Corporation, a unique provider of licensing and regulatory compliance for the nuclear industry, in its acquisition of IEPSON Consulting Enterprises, Inc., a premier specialty engineering company
  • Assisted in the representation of Spinnaker Oilwell Services, LLC, a leading provider of oilfield cementing services in the Permian and Mid-Continent basins, in its sale to RPC, Inc. (NYSE: RES), for approximately $79.5 million in exchange for 100 percent of Spinnaker’s equity
  • Assisted in the representation of Crestwood Equity Partners LP, a publicly traded limited partnership that owns and operates midstream assets, in the divestiture of Tres Palacios Gas Storage for $335 million with Brookfield Infrastructure to Enbridge Inc.
  • Led the representation of Race Rock Infrastructure, a Houston-based manufacturer of critical infrastructure products and solutions for the transportation, energy transmission/distribution, telecommunications and other end markets, in its acquisition of Highway Safety LLC and Ohio Galvanizing LLC
  • Assisted in the representation of ArcLight Capital Partners in its sale of Pride Convenience Holdings, LLC, to ARKO, one of the largest operators of convenience stores and wholesalers of fuel in the United States, at a purchase price of approximately $230 million
  • Assisted in the representation of Patra, a provider of technology-enabled services for the insurance industry, in its $146 million growth investment as part of a recapitalization from FTV Capital
  • Assisted in the representation of Summit Midstream Partners, a publicly traded partnership focused on developing, owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets, in the sale of Bison Midstream to Steel Reef Infrastructure Corporation for cash consideration of $40 million
  • Assisted in the representation of Refuel Operating Company, LLC, a SouthCarolina-based retail and wholesale fuel distribution and convenience store business, in its acquisition of the assets of The Whalen Corp., a Raleigh, North Carolina-based convenience store chain
