Emma Doineau is Assistant General Counsel for Locke Lord and advises the Firm, its attorneys and Team Members on litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate social responsibility and ethical and professional issues. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel for the Firm, Emma represented clients in commercial litigation, assisting parties in the public and private sectors with both pursuing and defending against a broad range of claims.

Emma is also committed to pro bono service and handles pro bono matters regularly. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Bar Association’s Houston Volunteer Lawyers since 2020.

Emma’s representative litigation experience includes:

  • Representing renewable and midstream energy companies and environmental service providers in contract litigation and arbitration
  • Representing commodity and retail plaintiffs in disputes with competitors and vendors in litigation and international arbitration
  • Representing contractors and specialty companies in contract, tort and trade secret/unfair competition disputes
  • Representing pro bono clients in litigation against the IRS and in relation to CARES Act violations
  • Representing insurance companies and insureds in insurance and indemnity disputes
  • Representing governmental entities and educational institutions in property disputes
