Janis Loegering concentrates her practice in real estate acquisition, development and finance. She represents financial institutions, owners and developers in the financing, acquisition, development and management of commercial real property, including multifamily properties, senior living and health care facilities and hotels. She also assists property owners in the negotiation of construction contracts and agreements with design professionals.

She represents financial institutions, owners and developers in the financing, acquisition, development and management of commercial real property, including multifamily properties, senior living and health care facilities and hotels. She also assists property owners in the negotiation of construction contracts and agreements with design professionals.

In the real estate finance arena, Janis has extensive experience in workout matters, construction lending and permanent financing, and the negotiation of intercreditor agreements. She also works with pension fund advisory companies and pension funds in acquisition, development and management of commercial real property.

Janis’ representative experience includes:‎

  • Land acquisition and development of senior independent and assisted living facility in Austin, Texas including negotiation of construction contract, architect agreement and loan documents
  • Acquisition and financing of over 40 multifamily properties in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina
  • Land acquisition and development of manufacturing facility in Lewisville, Texas, including negotiation of construction contract, architect agreement and construction management agreement
  • Loan to refinance the acquisition loans for 37 skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living and memory care facilities located in nine states
  • Credit Facility to finance the acquisition of 64 skilled nursing, assisted living and ;memory care facilities located in 10 states
  • Syndicated loan in the amount of $225 million to finance the acquisition of four senior independent living facilities located in Illinois
  • Credit Facility secured by 12 skilled nursing facilities located in Texas
  • Acquisition of three skilled nursing facilities in Indiana and negotiation of Joint Venture Agreement with health care REIT entity
  • Acquisition and sale of 12 skilled nursing/assisted living facilities in Iowa
  • Acquisition of four senior housing portfolio in Florida and negotiation of Joint Venture Agreement and Operating Leases with Operator
