He defends clients against allegations of counterfeiting, money laundering, bank fraud, securities fraud, antitrust violations, breaches of fiduciary duty, conflicts of interest, insider trading, violations of state and federal Anti-Kickback statutes, off-label marketing of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, perjury, bribery, misappropriation of public funds and wire/mail fraud.
In his white collar defense experience, he has worked with most major state and federal law enforcement, investigative and regulatory agencies, including the Texas Attorney General, IRS, FBI, DEA, FDA, ICE, FDIC, FINRA, Texas Rangers, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Texas Department of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Secret Service and SEC.
Kip has also conducted (and has represented witnesses, subjects and targets in connection with) internal investigations involving a wide array of allegations comprising an element of financial fraud, including tax fraud, bankruptcy fraud, wire/mail fraud, theft of company funds, public corruption, bribery, bank fraud, insider trading and securities violations. He also has experience handling criminal cases through indictment and trial in state and federal courts.
A significant portion of his practice involves working with financial institutions and bank executives in connection with white collar defense matters, internal investigations and regulatory inquiries by various bank regulators, including the FDIC.
