Prior to joining the Firm, Straat was trained as a law clerk in the trademark and copyright litigation group of another New York firm. Before that, Straat worked in-house at two separate multinational corporations in the apparel and consumer products industries, focusing in intellectual property and business law. During law school, Straat coached and participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition in Vienna, Austria.
