Helen Turner concentrates her practice on financial services litigation. She represents national banks, trustees and mortgage servicing firms in state and federal courts. That litigation usually is initiated by consumer plaintiffs asserting claims regarding erroneous credit reports, violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and an array of other state and federal statutes. Helen has obtained dispositive or procedural motions in favor of numerous clients. In addition, Helen's knowledge of entertainment law has benefitted clients in the technology, music and motion picture industries.

Prior to joining Locke Lord, Helen received a master's degree from Harvard University focused on corporate strategy and governance (ESG), private equity and mergers and acquisitions within the finance, technology and media and entertainment sectors. Early in her career, Helen was a Staff Attorney for the Hon. Sarah Beth Landau of the Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas and a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Jeff Bohm in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
