Katie’s experience includes:
- Past and ongoing defense of mortgage servicing company in federal False Claims Act lawsuit involving alleged violations of state and Federal servicing statutes and requirements, including extensive management of discovery strategy and efforts
- Second-chaired pre-trial efforts for commercial dispute in Federal court, resulting in resolution of matter prior to trial
- Assisted in defending large European financial institution in pre-trial efforts arising from alleged violations of Federal Know Your Customer requirements
- Past and ongoing defense of medical professionals in commercial dispute involving RICO claims for alleged conduct arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Assisted in drafting appellate briefing for a national mortgage servicing company that resulted in affirming lower court's summary judgment ruling
- Defended and helped obtain summary judgment for medical device manufacturer
- Represented a national furniture retailer against claims arising from sexual harassment and discrimination allegations
- Assisted in defending resort and real estate company against class action claims arising from alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Assisted in defending and trial preparation of a medical device manufacturer in a product liability suit; the jury ultimately reached a complete defense verdict
- Assisted in representation of consumer financial services companies against wrongful foreclosure and related claims
- Assisted in conducting expert witness discovery in complex multi-district litigation in state and federal court, including preparing to take and defend expert depositions and preparing expert witnesses for trial
