Locke Lord Elects Four New Members to Board of Directors

February 9, 2018 – Locke Lord’s Partners have elected four new members to its Board of Directors. Newly elected members include Partners Paul Mahoney Jr. (Providence) and Tom Knight (Washington, D.C.).

The Partners re-elected to new terms on the Board are Greg Casamento (New York), Al Clark (Los Angeles), David Grant (London), John Igoe (West Palm Beach) and Steve Whitmer (Chicago). Also remaining on the Board are Co-Chair Cynthia Bast (Austin), Derrick Carson (Houston), Victoria de Lisle (New Orleans), Laura Edrington (Houston), Denise Hanna (Washington, D.C.), Elizabeth Mack (Dallas), Stephanie Massey (Boston), Hanna Norvell (Houston), Allison O’Neil (Boston), Tai Tran (Austin) and Scott Wofsy (Stamford).

The Board helps direct the Firm’s vision and strategy, and collaborates on other Firm-wide initiatives. The Board reports to Firm Chair David Taylor and the Executive Committee. 

  • Mahoney represents institutional investors and companies in a variety of business transactions involving private and public companies, including leveraged buyouts and venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, senior and subordinated debt financings, recapitalizations and restructurings, and corporate governance matters. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America in Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law and was named Lawyer of the Year 2017 by the Best Lawyers in America in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions Law.
  • Froehlich represents clients in complex commercial and business litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in New York, New Jersey and throughout the country. He has extensive experience representing business interests, including financial institutions, educational institutions and insurance companies in every step of the litigation process. Additionally, Froehlich has represented clients in arbitrations and mediations. He has been named a New York Super Lawyer in Business Litigation.
  • Knight represents several of the leading interstate natural gas pipeline companies, as well as local gas distribution companies, merchant generator interests and oil pipeline companies, on matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He also advises such clients on general contract, tariff and rate matters.
