Locke Lord Expands Energy and Renewables Capabilities With Addition of Michael Malfettone as Partner

(AUSTIN) June 29, 2020 – Michael Malfettone has joined Locke Lord’s Austin office as Partner in the Firm’s Energy Practice Group. Malfettone will also build upon the Firm’s Renewable Energy Section, bringing experience in a wide range of corporate and financing transactions. Malfettone will relocate to the Firm’s New York office in coming months.

Malfettone, who joins Locke Lord from Husch Blackwell LLP, focuses his energy practice in the renewable power, clean energy technologies and midstream natural gas industries throughout the United States and internationally. His experience encompasses all aspects of the acquisition, development and financing of wind, solar and natural gas projects, as well as joint venture transactions, offtake agreements and other development and construction contracts. Malfettone’s corporate practice also includes assisting clients with matters related to business formation and structuring, corporate governance, debt and equity financing, acquisitions and other commercial and strategic transactions.
