Chris Garcia’s practice consists of financial services, intellectual property, employment and general commercial business litigation. Specifically, Chris handles matters involving claims of fraud, breach of contract, copyright infringement, finance code violations, trade secret misappropriation and more.
Chris’ experience spans across federal court, state court and arbitration tribunals. Chris plays a key role in various aspects of the litigation process through drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery motions and discovery requests/responses. Additionally, Chris manages production, handles depositions, conducts legal research, negotiates settlements, and has argued motions in state and federal court.
Chris was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where he enjoys spending time with family and friends on the lake. Prior to joining Locke Lord, Chris served as a legal extern for the Hon. Stacey G. C. Jernigan of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas and Associate Managing Editor of the International Law Review Association.
